16. Oud-Katholieke kerk - Hoge Gouwe 107 (Old Catholic Church)
Open from 12am onward. A beautiful church with baroque interior from 1632, which used to be a secret church when catholic masses were not allowed in the protestant Netherlands. The church is freely accessible and at this spot you may light a candle for loved one's or just for a moment of contemplation.
1–2pm
- Gomarita, Aty & Margo, two guitars, and Lidwien & Marianne on flute play classical and Christmas music.
2–3pm
- School choir primary school ‘de Ridderslag’ conducted by Christine Heetebrij.
3-4pm
- Poetry by former ‘city poet’ Aaf Gerhard reading poems with members of the ‘Gouwe’ Orchestra
4–6pm
- Flute group Flautissimo, known in Gouda for over 25 years. Young pupils of the flute school kick off the performance, followed by duo on flute Anke van der Bijl & Aad van der Velde. In the second slot Flute group ‘Dwars’ will start and work to the final where all groups play together.
8–10.15pm
- Choir ‘Noorderkoor’ sings Christmas carols from different countries. Storyteller Hugo Gastkemper orates a tale while clarinet group Chalumeau plays classical, klezmer, world and light music.
